Jason Hiner over at TechRepublic put together this cool video summarizing Ilya Bogorad's article Five ways of thinking that can fell IT leaders. These are classic mistakes and ones I have struggled with many times in my career. I have included the quick list below but I recommend the article and video if you have the time.

1. The business should identify its technology needs
2. We are a fast-paced organization

4. Show me the money! For a project to be approved, it needs to save costs or generate revenues.
